A winner of dozens of state, regional and national journalism awards, Mary has covered exploding hotels, trashed trailers, epic ER wait times , Salem the Wonder Cat and one Santa convention in Branson, Mo. As a 2016 Nieman Fellow at Harvard University, Mary studied digital journalism and the challenge of using public health policy to create sustainable social change.
